Biography

Born beneath Oriar, the young Drow Sabien Raith was not one to accept that his existence would be a sunless one. From an early age he began exploring the surface and making friends with the locals. While the Oriar-Drow alliance was still in its infancy, Sabien was one of the first to forge real and lasting friendships among the halflings. The Halflings of Oriar in particular played a crucial role in Sabien's development. The Drow youth was wise beyond his years and he held the idyllic Orian Halfling life against the backdrop of the deeper under dark and the society he had been born in. From this contrast, Sabiens ideals were shaped. The idea of personal freedom, to roam free and create the life you chose, became the guiding principle in his life. Now Sabien believes so strongly in this ideal that his channeled will has become a thing divine. He travels the surface, happy to go where he chooses, and eager to enable others to choose freedom.

An unfortunate occurance, while still a novice adventurer, left Sabien quite dead.  Luckily, the paladin Jhuriel had the forsight to return Sabien to the clinic where the fallen Drow worked in his downtime.  There his body was preserved until his fellow adventurer, Lorek, found the means to reincarnate his soul.  While successful, the endeavor left Sabien somewhat changed.  It looks as if Sabien's days of table dancing are over.
